Meet the Artist
Genasio Jr was born in Salvador Bahia, Brazil. He started his interests in percussion at the age of 12, and at the age of 16, he already was acting professionally. As a self-taught musician, he participated in several projects accompanying bands and artists in a variety of musical styles, such as: Banda Flash, Banda Topázio, Banda Rádio Activity, Los Guaranis Orchestra, singer Raimundo Sodré, Banda and Bloco Pike, Jorge Zarath, Silvinha Torres, Tania Luz, Banda Forró Talismã, Anay Claro, participated in the project lambadas with the singer and actress, Tania Alves with whom she toured the Brazil .
With Banda Mahatma, he participated in the project Quartas da Paz, Trio da Não Violência where he participated and where, he also was the winner as the best show performance of Caymmi trophy of 1992. He accompanied many solo artists such as: Missinho, Robson Moraes, Belchior, Dominguinhos, Shanghai, Roberto Mendes, Targino Godim, Margareth Menezes, Carlos Pita, Laurinha, Fred Menendez, Parah Monteiro, Sylvia Patricia, participated also with Events Harmonizi Orchestra, Tio Elétrico Group, Fantastic Trio, Live 7 participated in the Dó, Re, Mi Project, where he recorded CDs and DVDs for the Children's Public.
Later in 2018, he played with Luma Sobral, a former participant of The Voice Kids, she played in the carnival of 2019 and 2020 ( a currently part of the Banda Lombreta whose project mixes the most varied rhythms such as Cumbia, Semba, stamp, maxixe).
Junior works at Foxtrot Comercio importacao e exportacao ltda from 1996 to today at the sales sectors, sales supervisor and sales manager. He works as a formal endorser and promoter of PBR Latina America- Pearl Brasil.
Genasio Jr. divides his life today between Foxtrot Musical Instruments in the sales sector, and a specialist in drum and percussion products, as well as, performer and teacher.
